Not true, Ashkenazi Jews are more Middle Eastern than Sicilians by genetics and and I would say by phenotype too. Most Ashkenazi Jews do look Middle Eastern, I wouldn't say most Sicilians look Middle Eastern.

They are autosomally similar (but Jews are still more Middle Eastern overall). And you guys share IBD with Levantine populations (what Sicilians don't) and also most Ashkenazi Y-DNA is non-European, what is not the case for Sicilians which have mostly European haplogroups. I'm not an autosomalist, there are many aspects of DNA not known yet, so taking conclusions about some mediterranean populations genetics without knowing the whole picture isn't accurate either.

No. All their DNA is European since it is attested in Europe for thousands of years. The ''Levantine'' component they have is probably archaic, not true ancestry derived from modern Levantines, contrary to what Jews have. You don't even know what is IBD, lol. Ashkenazi Jews are basically a mix of RECENT Levantine men mating with European women from that point of view. Sicilians have zero IBD with Ashkenazis or modern Levantines.
