Balto-Slavic history before 5th century
Where do they lived, who are proto-Balts and who are proto-Slavs. Explanations can be posted here.

I think they were Scythians and led a nomadic way of life crossing various lands in Europe and the Northern Black Sea cost.
The Talmud tells us that the only language the Torah could be translated into elegantly is Greek.

Scythians spoke Iranic language, not very connected to Balto-Slavs.

Scythians is a collective term for different nomadic people in Eurasia.
Basicly Scythians were the ancient Steppe people.
And Balto-Slavs certainly started as Steppe people.
Sarmatians are said to have come from the Northern Blacksea Coast
Slavic and Iranic are both Indoeuropean languages.
If you research on the subject you might surprised they might be more similar than you thought.
Iranic is even similar to Germanic languages

Yes, becouse Slavs were clear Barbarians, and Scythians were horsemen which made advantage for them.

Balto-Slavs had totally different way of life in comparison to Scythians.
Irish and Iranic are both indoeuropean language, but it doesn't say a lot.Slavic and Iranic are both Indoeuropean languages.
However, Slavs have about 30 loanwords from Iranic in a proto-Slavic language, while Balts doesn't have even 1. That's an interesting fact.

Incorrect. They adopted horses later, not to begin with it.
