I am mexican, so i can tell you that yes, there are spaniards who pass as a latin american mestizo without troubles, at least i have met two spaniards who i thought they were mexican harnizo or castizo. The first one was a cooker in my local TV channel. I think this guy is andalucian, so his accent was not that weird (older people have a more andalucian accent, specially criollos from wealthy or traditional families). Only when they mentioned he was spanish i realized it.

The other guy was a person who lived near my house, he had blue eyes and he was tall. But considering that blue eyed people in Mexico are not that weird i did not pay attention, i thought he was probably he was from los Altos or just a phenotipical white mestizo.
When i heard him talking i realize he was spanish, actually an illegal immigrant (weird, but true), he looked pretty bad dressed so his hispanity was not noted (in Mexico more than racist we are classist, so when we think about a spaniard we usually think of someone rich or at least of a higher class) he was never seen again, one day he just disappeared. Probably deported, it was like around 2012. when spain had his economical crisis. I don't have photos of him but i will see if i can find one
