Informally Dutch still call them 'negerzoenen'. In Germany they call them 'Negerküssen', but over there it was considered offensive years earlier than in the Netherlands.

Oh that's nothing. In the Arab world, we call tea cakes in the Arabic language "rass al-3abed" which means "head of a nigger". No joke.

It's different because as Iron mentioned, the work for black man/ woman and black is basically the same. Romanians have not had interactions with blacks, so it's not really about them. Arabs have.

I don't get the joke. It seems some people find it funny if it's insulting somebody else, but if someone made an ice-cream or sold packets of sweets with names insulting European people - would Europeans find it funny?
