    Possibly, but still it is in addition to the 44 million or so people in the US who speak it as a first language.

    sorry but that is laughable. The jobs you are talking represent with luck the 1% of the total of jobs. Nobody needs English when you work in low class jobs (the majority of jobs), no comment that the great majority of Mexicans dont have high studies.

    Now that I think about it, none of the teachers I had for Spanish classes when I was in school were Mexican. I remember one from Chile, one from Puerto Rico, one from Spain, and a Cuban-American, but none from Mexico.
