    Default antarctica and arctic circle

    people,
was antarctica and the arctic circle ever inhabited by man in pre-historic times? if yes by whom? B.G.Tilak(indian freedom fighter) wrote a book called Orion : Arctic Home Of The Vedas. any credence to this claim that vedic/aryan people might have inhabited the arctic circle?

No. Everyone knows it was inhabited by the Elder Things and their Shoggoth spawn.

I heard this before from a crazy Russian who also believed there was evidence that the people who lived there spoke Russian, which was , then, the first language in the world.

Since humans did not really develop until the Quaternary period, and by that time Antarctica was already in its present position for several thousand millennia, I would say human habitation of the continent would be impossible.

Antarctica first saw permanent ice sheets between 35-33 million years ago, and by the time that happened it was already at the South pole for almost 10 million years, well before the appearance of the first pre-humans and sub-humans, let alone actual human beings.

Its generally believed it was never even seen until 1820, but who knows. Maybe some South American Indians at least checked out the place; or Pacific islander people.

    loddfafner,bloodeagle,curtis,wagnerian thanks for the replies.
in the book by b.g. tilak i mention in my original post the vedic aryans have described a trajectory of the sun parallel to the ground 'like the wheel of a chariot rolling along the ground' from what vantage point on earth could the writer have written this?

This does sound like the suns pattern in the summer months, north of the polar circles.
