    Normans themselves were minor, but there were northern Italians/Lombards that settled in various places and then you have to consider that the Sikels, a pre-Greek group, came from the north as well.

    The people in the second picture look very Greek, as does the man in the fourth.

    I've heard someone say before that Sicilians look a lot like Jews. I don't have much experience with them but from what I've personally seen, that seems to be true. Black curly hair, big nose etc.
