First of all, speak for yourself. Second of all, I didn't think you even identified with your Italian heritage anyway...? So it's strange for you to speak for Italians.

The analysis of this entire question is quite easy. Our interests don't align very much with those of blacks. Italian-Americans, like white Americans in general, tend to prefer living away from blacks. Blacks bring crime and other problems to places they inhabit, which we don't want. Italians came to this country dirt poor, but in a few generations, and with a very strong work ethic, have largely joined the middle class. It's a very different story for blacks, to say the least. Our interests are quite congruent with--and oftentimes pretty much indistinguishable from--those of other white Americans. The idea that we would (in GENERAL) favor blacks over other whites is just ludicrous and completely divorced from reality.

Laws mean nothing what matter is the implemented actions and behaviors of real people. These actions are not easily measured in Latin American as many countries do not even track any statistics on it.
