What two countries would you unite if you could choose?

We're quite alike to Southern Dutch people and historically we were Southern Dutch.

Personally, I chose Germany and Austria. Given my South-German roots, I've always felt an affinity towards Austrians (more than North-Germans) and those in Vorarlberg are specifically related to my Swabian people. Of course, I would like to see stronger power to the regions and not any strong centralized structure.

Demographically, it would be good to infuse more ethnic Germans into the German Fatherland at this time. And the generally stronger opposition to mass-immigration within Austria could go a far way with infusing more vitality to such a movement within broader Germany. That is my main concern, in addition to the shared genetics.

Yep. In the differences within a country like Germany are likely bigger than between Belgium (or Flanders) and the Netherlands. And I agree our mentality it different and I also said 'in theory' for a reason. However, I still think we're Lowlanders before French in regard to with whom we resonate the best. Sure, he specified 'Northern French', but even then Paris already is way too foreign (and discounting immigration here) for us while it isn't so much for those Northern French.

I would also say that Northern Germanics are quite different and like to consider themselves a category within themselves I think. Denmark has underwent a thorough German influence, true, but ultimately they probably see themselves more as Scandinavians - which they are - than Germanic altogether. Swedes and Norwegians would click better with a Dane than a German and a Dane, probably. They can often even speak their own language with a Swede and a Norwegian if given enough exposure.

I would liberate NK then I would unite North & South Korea. I think it's obvious bc they are one nation, but divided into two countries.

I chose Germany and Austria, but it would have been better if it was a multiple choice poll and with more choices too. I would also agree with all the other choices (except USA and Mexico) and some extra ones like Romania and Moldova.

Jutlanders and NOrthern Germans are connected by Land, they are not that far Apart. Maybe Danes from the Islands with SOuth Swedes.
