Default Favorite/least favorite city in the U.S.?

For those of you from the U.S. (or who have been here), what is/are your favorite cities in the U.S.?

For me, I'd say Chicago, Charleston (SC), and New Orleans in no particular order.

Least favorite: San Francisco, Atlanta, and Washington DC in no particular order.

    NYC is my favorite.

Philadelphia the least. It is an evil city with wicked people. I've never met anyone from that city or its suburbs that I liked. There is always something wrong with them.

Well I'm originally from Philadelphia, but I was tempted to put it on my worst list. Everything about Philadelphia is nice except for...the people. Many of the people are so bad that it was borderline as to whether they'd get on my worst list just for that.

MY top favorite one: Boston, MA (I lived there and I miss it)

Then followed by NYC and Washington DC (have visited NYC some few times, and visited NYC and Washington DC on my last vacation)

My least favorite one: Detroit, MI

I was there once and it's horrible.

I like NYC very much as well and toyed with the idea of putting it in my top 3, but it ultimately falls a bit below for me. Just a bit too big and inaccessible in some ways for my liking. Not a fan of DC at all; Boston is so-so IMO but I don't know it well (only been there once). Detroit is bad...I completely agree.

Why? I can understand Atlanta and Washington DC, but why San Francisco?

I have just had bad experiences with weirdos there. I also find it surprisingly sterile feeling, which is weird, but that's how I see it.

Ah, interesting. I have not been there enough, but I found San Francisco one of the few American cities with a strong personality.

Did you have any other favorite cities in the U.S.?
