Why would having 1% Jewish make someone a Jew? Cant they have both Euro Christian and non-Christian mixture?

I do Score Iberian on some calculators, and even if no one mixed with Iberians, they still lived there during inquisition, some converted (while my direct ancestors escaped) and there you have it- christian Iberian cousins

I actually tried to contact a third cousin from the USA originally from puerto rico but he never Answered me lol he stated that he is Catholic in his details and I come and see to him you have Jewish roots haha.

I think that atleast in the religious way Sephardim and Ashkenazim and Yeminite Jews should unite . Mizrahim , Ethiopian Jews and Indian Jews are already Sephardim by the relihious way (the way the pray) and I think it’s time to end this nonsense of Ashkenazi synagogue, Yeminite one and Sephardic one.
Not that I really care as I’m very secular.
