Where do these Romanians fit best outside of Romania?

The public and participants are Romanians at a robotics competition held in Bucharest. The teams are from various parts of the country.
Where else do they fit best?

Mostly Ukraine, Hungary and Serbia

Honestly, they just look Romanian. I could recognize their country of origin in groups

Many could pass in Croatia, but overall, distinct enough!

I don't think most of them look Ukrainian (although they come from all over the country so some may be closer to it and pass) but mostly places like Serbia, Bosnia, Hungary, northern Bulgaria, maybe Croatia, etc. Not the most representative sample of the actual area of Muntenia around the capital though, but decent diversity of types.

^Eh that's cause overall they're not quite to that extent; this group just happens to lean more that way by chance... When 50% or more of the people in a group of pics are light featured and noticeably easternish looking you know something is a bit off, cause that's not the national average. A lot of Romanians on forums preferentially post these types probably thinking they represent "Dacian" types when in reality these represent rather strongly Slavic influenced people. Dacians were probably primarily Pontid, Dinarid, and Alpine (not Gorid and Baltid like some of these), and clustered closer to Mediterranean, Central Euro, and southern Balkan populations, as genetic studies have determined (and as they were depicted on ancient statues/monuments). And those types are not hard to find in the country, mind you.

I mean ask yourself this: why would a people who speak a Romance langauge (meaning they were around the region at least in part since antiquity), with traces of paleo-Balkan vocab along with Slavic, Greek, Turkish, etc, look primarily like Poles, Ukrainians, and Latvians?? That wouldn't make sense. I'm not saying that a decent amount can't though, but there is more variety. Also why do most Romanians generally cluster far away from those populations autosomally speaking? You can travel there and see for yourself what I'm saying someday.
