“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Eph. 6:12
Definition of untrustworthy and loose character are those that don't believe in God.

Aherne, I want you to know that you're a dark-haired, non-blue eyed little manlet as well as a nordicist.
Embarassing.

All these people are Italian too you know. You should visit more parts of that country before generalizing.
Here are random people interviewed from Bolzano

I gotta be honest, in reality most actual Romanians don't have these kinds of sentiments (and I go back there for a couple of months every other year). I've noticed these "anthroforums" tend to often attract a very specific type of Romanians, namely those who are rather "Nordicist" oriented and exaggeratedly pro-Slavic, dismissing and downplaying other types and skewing the way the country is presented. Alot of people would find that a bit absurd. You don't seem to get many just regular people here, because those don't care about things like race and ethnicity much, and rather just live life. I was naive to think this forum was simply about a curiosity in anthropology and culture. Not surprising the types you get here.
Tbh I've never had the slightest problem or negative interaction with Italians and have always gotten along very admirably with them all my life. Many our of family friends were from there, and I know a fair amount of people who have ancestry from both countries. There are some communities of them in Romania. Also, believe it or not, there is a bit of overlap with parts of northern Italy anyway, particularly northeast like Friuli; I don't know about Ravena or whatnot. I think before 10 years ago, average relations between the people weren't that bad and usually decent (although uncommon during the Cold War due to obvious reasons). But the large wave of often boorish or poorly educated working class migrants and gypsies kind of messed that up and led to a bad impression to Western Europe in general, which reflects badly on the home countries. Maybe over time things will change.
It's pretty transparent and clear what's going on here... in response to immigration from Eastern Europe (in many cases consisting of Roma or partially Roma people), Italians have been pretty harsh toward Romanians on the Internet and make blanket statements like accusing them of all being gypsies (let's be real, the name doesn't help). In response to that, certain Romanians who are angered by that go in the other extreme direction to prove how much more northern than are and trash talk Italians as being Arabs or whatever, which is equally as ridiculous. This site should be for honest discussion of anthropolgical reality rather than biased and hateful attacks that serve no real purpose. Maybe I should go to that EUpedia place or whatever if it's better...

Regarding the actual topic at and, I did notice some regional differences in my travels in Italy, but maybe not as huge as some like to think.
