Albanian Nordicism Debunked / Gheg Pigmentation
This is a breakdown of Carleton Coons study on the Mountain Ghegs. Taken from his book ''The Mountains of Giants''
If we go by this, blondes don't seem much common among Albanians LOL. So I always wondered the fetish Albanian members on this forum have for blondes. Lelll.
Theres actually more swarthy Ghegs than blondes. By far. Swarthy doesn't have to be someone with darker skin tone.
Just jet black hair and brown eyes and extreme dinaric facial features can make someone dark looking. Or someone that couldn't pass anywhere north of Balkans.
Where are all these Albanian blondes??? Mountaineers are supposed to be the lightest.
I know Coon said these Ghegs were fairer than Serbs, Greeks, Bulgarians and Tosks but some of these are really dark from mixing with Vlachs. but Ghegs had higher percentage of grey brown eyes with grey being more dominant but still more purer dark eyes at the same time and their moustaches were many times lighter than head hair but they aren't really ''light'' at all. He said they could fit well in British Isles because there are Brits with jet black hair or a Meditarrean element. But he never described them lighter than other South Slavs.
Pigmentation is affected by environment like diet and climate. Lighter pigmentation was seen as a sign of poverty, lack of vitamins. Mountaineers are usually poor , eat little, and experience cold winters.
But people have migrated to the lowlands etc and if you think about the elements those migrants brought and if you combine some of those features listed above it can produce accidently by far more darker looking people than light.

This is just counting the north. Southern Albanians are Albanians too. Add them and we come out even darker.
Its obvious we are a Meditearrean population more than anything. Dinaricised Mediterreans.
We share closest genes with other Med countries in South Europe as shown by DNA tests.
All skulls of Neolithic farmers found show they were Meds. AND we come out on all DNA tests as Neolithic majorly but you have Albanian idiots here trying to link us to Caucasians and North Euros.
In Kosova and diaspora, I have seen by far more swarthy Ghegs than light Ghegs. It easily produces such types when you combine jet black hair, brown eyes, dinaric features that resemble near easterns, pale/medium skin tone.
