Why are Northern Italians lighter than Iberians despite being more southern genetically?

Northern Italians are not significantly lighter than Iberians. Both populations have about similar range of skin tones, and Northern Italians are perhaps just slightly blonder and light eyed on average than Iberians, but that's it.

Northern Italians have not as main phenotype Noric.

The majority is Atlantomed/Dinaromed and alpines.

There are ofc many Norics but no way the majority.

They might have a slightly higher proportion of blue/green eyes and blondism compared to Iberians. Not a "striking" difference, really.

And most Iberians also have different shades of brown hair, ranging from dark brown to light brown.

I do not think any of this matters the Orangutan and Chimp are light pigmented.
