It's only about race. Race and murder rate correlate, gun laws and murder rate don't.

Nice cherry picking of data. It makes for an attention-grabbing headline, but not much truth in it.

The murder rate in 2018 is still higher in NYC than London, it’s just in the last two months there have been slightly more murders in London than New York.

Just look at the overall trend: NYC has had its lowest number of murders ever in the last 2 years: 335 in 2016 and 290 in 2017. That's great news. But London had 110 in 2016 and 130 in 2017.

So cherry pick individual months and you can make crazy claims, but NYC is still around 3 times the rate of London. Maybe real gun control works after all.

Either way, New York is one of the safest cities in the US. People still love to rip on it like it's the 1970s/80s/early 90s with street crime. It's actually come a long way!

This doesn’t mean London is super dangerous though.

These are headlines from news organizations. The current murder rate for the first three months of this year has London ahead of New York.

New York is decreasing, meanwhile London is increasing.

50 murders a quarter of the year in. When the previous year was a little over 100? Yeah, "cherry picking" to you, it would be.

The murder rate for the 1st Quarter in London is higher then NYC. In London the rate is about 2 times higher than the same period last year.
NYC's murder is low though, 1.5 per 100,000. #51 worst in the USA. Baltimore and St. Louis have murder rates like a 3rd world chithole. That is what happens when the Police do not police and just answer 911 calls. The residents in the chit hoods scream and yell and protest, then the police say OK have fun we will leave you alone so you can kill each other.
