Karma is a Hindu term & I don't believe in it. (cosmic slap to the face, or some nonsense)

Kamma is the Buddhist term and I believe in that version. It goes something like, if you're an asshole to somebody (action) , later on the fruits of that will manifest: like you're having trouble sleeping and something doesn't feel quite right, probably weighting on your subconscious is that previous action. You harm another person/treat them like shit, then it's a reflection of how you treat yourself. We are mirrors for humanity. Simple as that.

Karma Houdinis also exist. So no, I don't believe in it as a concept. It often seems to be real as you create enemies by wronging people.

Intrinsically I would say so; a person is merely a byproduct of their own esoteric wants and experiences. Like the simply saying, "every action has a complete and opposite reaction." Meaning that some actions are obviously going to have reactionary consequences; depending on the values that drive said person. We are proprietors and conduits of our own reasoning or in some people; lack of reasoning in their modus operandis.
“The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.”

No. I don't believe in karma. What I believe is that people like being around others that are positive and dislike being around negative people. If people like you because you're positive you'll be more likely to receive opportunities that a negative person will not have. When your behavior is negative you arouse people's animosity towards you.

I believe in the saying 'you reap what you so.' Some people confuse this with karma.

    IMO

You create Karma in this very moment, exactly what you're thinking right now will be reinforced and become a habit

The mind is like a muscle, the more you think/feel something like Anger the more easier it will be to return to that feeling of Anger (for example)

I think it has something to do with neuron pathways & circuitry ... noting really metaphysical / supernatural.

No, I do not believe in karma. It is not measurable in any meaningful way, and it has too many interpretations as to what could be considered proper "payback" for bad actions. Two separate people can have largely varying definitions for a negative event happening to someone "bad" that would constitute them labeling it as that "bad" person receiving karma. Because karma does not guarantee that the same exact negative event will happen to the person who performed said negative event, whatever returns to them in the form of bad karma will be only subjective.

For example, imagine there are four people. Person A and person B are in a relationship, and person C and D are in the social circle of person B and A. Person A has an affair with someone, ruining the relationship of persona A and B. Person B says that karma will affect person A some day. Now, person A is never intimately betrayed themselves, but let's say person A has a bad night's sleep, gets a terrible headache, and complains to persons C and D. Person C might call this karma, but person D might not, as their interpretation is different. Now let's say that person A gets robbed on their way to work and assaulted with a knife. Person D might this this is adequate karma, but person C might think this goes "too far", and therefore it must not be related to the emotional-based affair. Also, imagine that person B feels ostracized and self-sequesters, and doesn't even learn of these events, so they don't even know if "karma" is being done or not. Who is to be the judge that karma was properly paid back? The situation can be reversed with doing positive events as well.

Saying that it is ok that karma cannot really be directly observed or measured, but that karma exists regardless, is making the argument that "things exist that impact other things", which is a completely empty of meaning. "Getting out what you put in." is entirely subjective and only meaningful to believers in karma who are already convinced of it working behind the scenes.

Karma seems just like a new wrapping paper name over the same philosophies that can be found all over the world which purely exist to make people feel good about things that are out of their direct scope of control.

No, karma is just something people invented to make them feel better about the evil people in the world, if they think the evil guys will get what's coming to them then they can sleep well at night. Fact is bad stuff happens to the good guys just as much as the bad ones.
