The photograph, dated July 11, 1917, shows an electric truck charging station. Judging by the markings, the trucks belonged to the British Midland Railway Company, which used Orwell Electric trucks to deliver mail. British-made cars ran on electricity stored in forty batteries hidden in two compartments under the body, which, apparently, was enough for targeted delivery of parcels around the city.

Photograph dated the first half of March 1945. On the one hand, it would seem, nothing special. In a certain, apparently medieval castle, several American military men celebrate the holiday. But this is the whole point. The US military, Chaplain Polyakov, Corporal Willen and Private Reich, are Jewish and celebrate Purim. This celebration takes place at Reidt Castle, the country residence of German Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels. Interestingly, Goebbels himself was still alive and was in Berlin next to Hitler. Probably, the collapse of Nazism in this picture is felt, as nowhere else, very clearly. In the house of a man who was largely responsible for the liquidation of various nations, including Jews, representatives of this nation celebrate their holiday. And the Star of David on the table as a symbol of their victory. It is noteworthy that Passover was also celebrated in the same building a few days later.

According to oral family tradition E-FT155550 comes from a deserter of Napoleon's troops (1808-1813) who stayed in Spain and changed his surname.
