Not really. Random people are ignorant usually, not only Georgians, but any other nation. And the people who are against "arabization" in Georgia are not prowestern, but prorussian.

I myself can distinguish Pakistani from Indian, not to mention Arab from Indian. But for older generation all darker people are Arabs... They still call Azerbaijanians as Tatars.
