    Turks almost don't even drink coffee(comparing to Balkan people), when you go to a Turkish person's place they will propose Tea and rarely coffee. It is called "Turkish coffee" because of the Ottoman Empire and the origins of "Turkish coffee" are most likely in Arabic countries or in the Balkans as we drink mostly coffee while Turks don't.

    It's like the "French" fries as we know them which are actually Belgian.
