We build bigger prisons here in the USA, and manufacture "crimes" to load them up with people.
Only China comes close to our incarceration level, and they're 4x our population.
I think it's quite an act of generosity of the USA to keep overgrown high-school jocks and bullies employed in "jobs" like "law enforcement" and "corrections."
