According those pictures, mostly are trirracial and mulatos, I saw very few whites. The euro contribution in this state is probably mainly azorean like in the South region, but northwest iberian and french can also be found. Maranhao is also our poorest state. I would like to go there because of Lençois Maranhenses.

Yes. Maranhão is one of the most tri racial State in Brazil. I would say, Pernambuco wins.
