Yes, and I agree that he was truly British because his mother was ethnically English with a little Scottish. Neither of Khan's parents is ethnically British.
That doesn't make the children or grandchildren of immigrants true Britons.
She probably was Hindu, not Christian. If she was an Anglo-Indian, she would be truly British, since Anglo-Indians are a mixed-race people descending from British men and Indian women.
No Moslem will ever be culturally British. You have to be at least part British by blood to be a true Briton.
