Stange thing is that the most comparable sample in terms of proportion w/ Spain is Brazil a country founded and inhabited by the Portuguese. But yes overall looks like Latin American European component is a bit southern-shifted compared with the Spanish sample. It could be (with Argentina as clearly exception) a demonstration that most settlers here were from Southern Spanish or Canarians or even other fundational people like Crypto-Jews?

The case of Argentina is not the southern spanish impact, but the italian impact. Most immigrants to Argentina were northwest iberians if Im not wrong. Brazil is mainly northwest iberian too, but we still can perceive a bit of italian impact too. The rest of South America I dont know, maybe they are mostly castelians. Central America and Caribean are mostly southeast iberian and canarian.

Maybe its easier to analyze this in form of a chart. I originally did this to measure italianess and spaniardness but im noticing its hard as many italins already score in the spanish spectrum

I excluded people scoring below 40% euro in case they gave weird results. The sign in the pic is wrong
