Default Are the Pennsylvania Dutch Anglo-Americans?

I think they are, for 3 reasons

    1. They all speak English now, and it's been the home language for most of them for centuries.
    2. They are Protestants who came here in colonial times
    3. They don't phenotypically look very different from English people
    4. They are loyal and culturally American, and contributed a lot to American culture and society

This is a weird question. Some of them are assimilated into Anglo-American society but they aren't Anglo-American.

Nope, closest group to Anglo-Americans (and still not exactly IMO) are Norwegian-Americans or Swedish-Americans.

Neither are Scottish people, yet they often get called Anglo-American.

Scots shared an island with the English and many of them mixed with them in the colonies. But a pure Scottish American isn't an Anglo-American.

    Anglo means English. Clearly.

    The Anglo-Saxons originated in Germany.

Pennsylvania Dutch are in fact more Anglo than the English, who are heavily Celtic admixed.
