Dispelling the myth that Greeks are “the Whitest south-Europeans”

Some members, for instance Cristian Viejo, like to compare Greeks to Albanians and south Italians. Making false assumptions like “Greeks are whiter” or “Albanians are darker” or “Greeks are the whitest south Europeans”.

All of this is false.
1.) The “whitest” south Europeans are Iberians, Croats, northern Italians, and then Bulgarians if you include them as “southern” European.
2.) Greeks and Albanians are the same skin-tone. South Italians are slightly darker.
3.) Genetically and phenotypically, Greeks do not look stereotypically “White” in a sense that members like Viejo are trying to imply.

The summary is that Greeks generally plot more south AND east of most Southern European ethnic groups, with the exception of southern Italians.

General Greeks and their facial features:

Typical Dinaro-Med, Dinaro-Alpine, Med and Dinarid types and even some Armenoid influences. Some do have Baltic or Nordic influence, but this does not differ with any other southern European population. Blonde hair are only the women who dye it.

That’s not the point of this thread. So i’m guessing you agree with Viejo that Greeks are magically “the whitest” or “most western” of southern and eastern Europe.

And I never claimed to be so good at classifying skulls. I go by facial features (eyes, nose, lips, facial hair, etc.) and genetics to determine who looks more or less “White”.

Still don’t get it. Culturally Greeks are the same as Balkan people. Only difference is Greece slightly more developed and modernized.

Also Italy is way more Western than Greece but to him they are still less White/European.

No, its only the smaller part in the post above, so maybe not the right one to criitize that, your anthropolgic arguments are not really solid. Hover no i m not with CV, Greeks are very South-Eastern shifted, more or less in line with the genetical point of view.

European features = strainght noses, hooded eyes, normal heads and light or olive skin. Greeks do look like this on average, Polacks dont.

Greeks do not typically have hooded eyes. This is another WHG semi-Mongoloid trait more common for northern Europeans (INCLUDING POLOCKS). Because Polish people, like other northern Europeans, have small and squinty eyes.
Greeks on the other hand have prominent eyes. We do not have hooded eyes as you can fully see the eye-lid like these standard Greek examples:

Your OP is a breath of fresh air and fucking agreeable. Glad to see someone being honest about their (beautiful) Southern European ethnicity. Because ppl here are biased as fuck and they whitewash themselves so badly here particularly y'all southerners.

But tbh, eye lids showing is pretty unattractive (if you're implying that they look good) - on a guy it's feminine and weak in appearance, or like they be tired or sum shit. Also...some Greeks have hooded eyes. Not full on, but just moderately. This Greek dude nikos anadiotis has massively hooded eyes and he's pretty sexy (nothing mongoloid about it - mongoloids have fekkin monolids!)
