Exactly, a group called "latino race" hasn't any kind of sense. What they have in common? the language? If I speak Japanese I belong to "Japanese race"? am I asiatic?
It's crazy if they say in the census there is a "Latino race" or that Egyptians are white too. I see Gypsies even as whiter than Egyptians. And "Latinos" are an artificial group who only have language and surnames in common. They are of many races and there are even Indian tribes who barely speak Spanish or don't and are considered "Latinos" in the US, when they emigrate there. The US census categories are stupid and so are some of the social ones in the US. East Asians and South Asians aren't the same race for instance.

All of them speak Spanish and all of them have Spanish surnames. Most of the spanish surnames in Latin America were obviously adopted, it was a some kind of tool to Christianize and civilize Amerindians and Blacks.
Maybe I am crazy or need glasses but I can't see any kind of "race connection" between the four guys of my examples
