Of course and there is no such thing as "sufficient protection" Furthermore, if you have an answering machine, "Big Brother" can evesdrop on you at any hour of any day. Answering machines have a "Monitor Room Noise" function which is supposed to be used by parents who are away from home to check on the children and be sure that they are alright. It is accessed by a special code character group, so that no one but you can access it. HAH !
Do you want to bet real money that there isn't a universal access code which is being used by the government RIGHT NOW to spy by means of answering machines on persons of interest ?
