Sometimes emotions speak higher but generally I am opposed to the death penalty and I hail from a nation that was a pioneer in the abolishment of the death penalty.

The death penalty is also a more benevolent punishment than imprisonment for life, in my opinion.

Some people deserve to die. Pedophiles and serial rapists do nothing but harm others. In my opinion, they're often worse than murderers. A good percentage of murders can be "justified" to some extent (e.g. a man kills his cheating wife in a fit of passion, a woman drowns her children and shoots herself because she believes that an angel is telling her to so she thinks it's the right thing to do). But, how do you justify sexually abusing a child? There's nothing a child can do by any stretch of the imagination to "justify" that treatment. Society is better off without pedophiles. Pedophiles do nothing but make the world a worse place. Pedophiles and true psychopaths are just broken sub-human wastes of space that need to be put down for the good of society.

Mostly opposed but I'd say im neutral. The Muslim countries, China and the USA use it the most and they still have relatively high crime rates, especially Murica.

I personally don’t and not just due to the sympathy for murderers. As it it is human nature to make mistakes every human institution is gets it wrong some of the time. The capital punishment system is no exception and there is no remedy for its worst mistakes.
