Meh, it's all mostly hypothetic reconstructions, and anyway, they can't get into the mindset of a thousand year old pagan, so, it'll never be authentic.

I usually just call it Vedism

It's actually very similar to my own religion in many ways. A lot of Baltic Pagans have a strong respect for Vedo-Dharmic religions.

It's not about going back 1000 years, dummy. It's about forming a relationship with the gods and the spirits and adapting our ancestral faith and its practices to our modern world and our modern worldviews. The mind of a 1000 year past pagan doesnt really matter in our world.

Most modern pagan groups don't interest me simply because they often are either 1) making it up as they go along, essentially a New Age movement or 2) overly focused on strict historical reconstruction with no possibility of innovation when spiritual traditions are supposed to be living traditions.

If you want to see high pagan philosophy and religion, the Vedic, Neoplatonic, and Daoist (which may have been influenced by the Indo-European Tocharians) traditions are where you should look. Mazdaism and other Iranic traditions to a certain degree as well. Comparative Indo-European studies are useful in this regard.

In short, I think positively of the Aryan pagan traditions because I follow it as best as possible today. Put differently, I literally believe in the sidhe/Annwn/Otherworld, the immortal gods, and mans ability to commune with and eventually enter the ranks of the gods.

Paganism is the truest form of the Indo-European tradition today. I have reverted back to the pagan ways of my ancestors, to worshiping the Old Gods of Wodannaz, Teiwaz, Donar, and such.
While I have identified as a Christian (Protestant, anti-Catholicism runs rampant in my psyche, Orangemen family history...ha!), I have realized that Christianity is a foreign religion to my ancestors. Many of us were slain in battle against the Christian invaders. Although I can feel some pride for Protestant types of Christianity, including types I used to identify with (Puritanism), and how violently and bravely stood against the Catholic Church, which in all respects shouldn't even be a "Christian" church, they follow Catholicism, not Christianity! While Martin Luther was a heretical Protestant reformer, I can say I appreciate what he had done - weakened, but not killed the Catholic Church.
Hinduism, or Sanatana Dharma, is very much the purest manifestation of Aryan Indo-European traditions today, while I do prefer the religion of my ancestors, in order to understand what it truly means to be a pagan, not some neo-pagan, you must study Sanatana Dharma, for it is the fully evolved form of straight raw, Vedic Aryan paganism left in the world today. And look at even what the Christians have done to India, with the occupation, I mean rape, of India for years, and years.

Agreed but you should add Muslims to the list of enemies of the Vedic Aryan religions of India and the Indo-European pagan traditions.

Excellent post but you should also add Islam to the list of enemies of the Vedic Aryan religions of India and the Indo-European pagan traditions.

Yeah, that is true. Muslims in India are probably one of the few things holding back the country.
I've spoken with a few Hindus who are pretty red-pilled and think of the Sikhs as the defenders against the Muslims.
