While I have identified as a Christian (Protestant, anti-Catholicism runs rampant in my psyche, Orangemen family history...ha!), I have realized that Christianity is a foreign religion to my ancestors. Many of us were slain in battle against the Christian invaders. Although I can feel some pride for Protestant types of Christianity, including types I used to identify with (Puritanism), and how violently and bravely stood against the Catholic Church, which in all respects shouldn't even be a "Christian" church, they follow Catholicism, not Christianity! While Martin Luther was a heretical Protestant reformer, I can say I appreciate what he had done - weakened, but not killed the Catholic Church.
Hinduism, or Sanatana Dharma, is very much the purest manifestation of Aryan Indo-European traditions today, while I do prefer the religion of my ancestors, in order to understand what it truly means to be a pagan, not some neo-pagan, you must study Sanatana Dharma, for it is the fully evolved form of straight raw, Vedic Aryan paganism left in the world today. And look at even what the Christians have done to India, with the occupation, I mean rape, of India for years, and years.
