The widespread use of marijuana and social media, however, is probably delaying full maturity, or perhaps stopping it.

So, perhaps we should raise the age on which those can be obtained to 25 as well. Hard liquor as well.

Maybe it's time to realize that the "teenage years" are a process that stretches on for much longer than we, previously, thought because we also have a much higher life expectancy. We just need to adapt the law to this new situation.

I don't think it's life expectancy so much as the attitude change and popular media promoting "fun" and risk taking, as opposed to moral and social responsibilities... Not to get into a political thing, but Liberals have a lot to gain by keeping people mentally immature.

This is why we need to change our education system (get rid of all leftist teachers and dogma) as well as the law. Censor the media and change the laws to what used to be normal before the 1960s.
