Serbs from Vojvodina have nothing to do with Magyars and Croatians. They are mix of Serbian settlers from Raška, Kosovo, central and southern Serbia 16th-18th century, and Serbian settlers from regions west od Vrbas river (Bosanska Krajina, northern Dalmatia, Lika, Kordun) 18th-19th century, with settlers from Herzegovina and Montenegro in smaller amount.
In Banat more Serbs originated from Serbian regions south of Sava and Danube, and in Syrmia there is more with origin from Krajinian areas.
There is still some older Sandžakians who speak Albanian.
