Well yes, given the number of Turks in Germany, Greece, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, France and Scandinavia, I'd be surprised if there were that many left to move to the US as well.

USA never asked for workers from Turkey, meanwhile the rest of MENA diaspora in USA are mostly political refugees.

I know there is an ancient Turkish minority in Greece, but there are quite a few more recent immigrants from Turkey too, aren't there?

Maybe you mean the people buying summer estates? Greece is not a country for economic migrants, especially not for Turkish.

USA generally allow high quality immigrants: Doctors, Engineers, CS folks etc most Pakistanis, Indians , Turks in USA are from these background than there are secular/christian assylum seeing MENAS(who are largest asian community barring academic oriented Indians and Chinese) as well.
In Europe lots of communities from ASIA are on labour exchange programmes of 60s and 70s.
