I already read this book about 13 years ago so I don't remember everything from it. It is one of a kind and eye-opening to people who think America is a classless society and much of it is still relevant even though it was written in 1983 but some of it is outdated :

I forget which page but Fussel says vanilla is the highest class ice cream. Born in Pasadena, CA. I enjoyed the book but it is a bit dated in current America vs 1983.
