After I finish reading, Catlow, I will be taking care of something that has bothered me for a long time now.

I will begin reading Donaldson's, The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever.

In my late adolescence, early adulthood, I read the First and Second Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever.

However, my friends, there is a third installment, The Last Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever.

In preparation for the journey ahead, I have already purchased the first two books in the first chronicles, and have them immediately to hand:

    Lord Foul's Bane
    The Illearth War

Point of interest, while I have your attention:

White Gold Wielder, the conclusion to, The Second Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever, is the only work of fiction, not including poetry, to have ever made me cry.

On account of relating to Covenant's extremes of psychic strife..

On account of relating to Covenant's peace, when the moment comes, that all strife has gone.. My God..

I am reading, Catlow, tonight and tomorrow.

Let me write you, L'Amour can write.

    Yessir.

    Ma'am.

From within the first ten pages (Bijah Catlow's camp is surrounded by Parkman's posse (they are intent on hanging Catlow et al... An old man drives Parkman and friends, off..)):

The shooting and the plunging of Parkman's horse destroyed any chance they had at the small targets that faced them in the Catlow camp. And about that time Old Man Merridew, who had been out with the cattle, cut loose with a Sharps fifty...

... They were not scared. They were a hard-bitten lot of old Indian fighters, that posse. But they also knew that Old Man Merridew was behind that Sharps buffalo gun, and Merridew was a man who seldom missed what he shot at...

Jerry King, a professor at Lehigh University, is no exception."For his new book, Jerry P. King has designed a grand tour of mathematics in ten essential lessons for the general reader who wants to know how mathematics is done. Almost no prior mathematical knowledge is assumed and through lively exposition and lucid explanations real mathematics is made not only palatable, but even enjoyable to the uninitiated.Professor King begins by establishing two key points: first, all mathematics flows from a few fundamental principles. Second, aesthetic considerations provide both the motivation for mathematics research and the standards for evaluating that research. The book is structured so that the reader gradually builds up an ever-greater skill set as each lesson is mastered. The essential concepts introduced include symbolic logic, infinity, rational numbers, number theory, real and imaginary numbers, function, probability, calculus, and the building of mathematical models in applied mathematics. Throughout his exposition, King provides brief historical digressions, which highlight key developments made by the giants in the field of mathematics.Eloquently written and clearly presented, Mathematics in 10 Lessons will inspire the reader to go on to learn more and will instill a true appreciation for mathematics as both an art and a science.
Still reading this one it is hardcore non-fiction reading it is not easy but I have 7 hours more of reading to do before I am done.
