They have new ones in color. But i just have my tablet for now and I put a screen protector that filters blue light.

Not really --the vast majority of printed books are in black and white even highly technical ones except for the cover art.

They have e-readers now that have color screens but that is gimmicky

The cover of the book should be in color. Also some books have some images like some history books (paintings, maps, etc).

So having that in black and white is a bit disappointing. The text is irrelevant of course, it's black and white anyway.

Again, most books are in black and white AND somebooks are like comic books and coffee table books are in color but since the gutenberg press most books have been black and white.

Do yourself a favor and crack open the book Mathematics for the Million by Lancelot Hogben and look at the black and white pictures/illustrations.

Serious readers do not give a flying fuck about color hence most books and newspapers are in black and white. The comics part of the newspaper is in color for clowns.
