Quechua speakers in Argentina are from Santiago del Estero, and they are not amerindian people. It is similar to Paraguay where non amerindian people speak an amerindian language. I think Coyas (highlands amerindians) from Salta and Jujuy speak only spanish and not quechua. On the other hand guarani in Paraguay is underrated in the map, and I dont understand why Corrientes have guarani speakers and not Misiones or Formosa which have been heavily influenced by paraguayans.

Good thread Annie I was thinking of making one like this today haha

According to the last census, 2010, there are around 274 indegenous dialects spoken in Brazil. Apparently only 37% of the ~570,000 Amerindians still living in special reserves still speak them.

The main families of langauges from which the dialects sprung are accurate, at least for my state.

Guarani is Spoken throughout Paraguay, it's an official language, also some natives in Brazil speak a sort of a variation/dialect of Guarani, the kaiwa is an example.

    https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curuz%C3%BA_Cuati%C3%A1

A mi me llamo la atencion pq Curzu Cuatia me suena a nombre indigena pero casi nadie salio pred amerindio. Y esa gente debe ser colonial colonial. Similar a Medellin Colombia.

Tambien testearon Cuyo y Salta/Jujuy. Cuyo salio igual a corrientes, Salta/Jujuy muchisimo mas amerindio.
