Horrific moment a taxi driver is mauled to death by a bear after trying to take a selfie with it in India

Prabhu Bhatara, a taxi driver from Odisha province, eastern India, was driving guests home from a wedding when he spotted a wounded bear by a watering hole and tried to take a selfie with it. Despite being hurt the animal managed to drag him to the ground where he was mauled to death. Onlookers tried to rescue Mr Bhatara, throwing things at the bear and attempting to hit it with a stick, but to no avail. Forestry officials eventually managed to tranqulise the animal so Mr Bhatara's body could be retrieved.
