Given that for the last five hundred or so years, one predominantly White country or another has been the global superpower, this has undoubtedly left its effects in terms of what is seen as more or less attractive across the globe. Therefore, once China becomes the No 1 economy and world superpower, will we all of a sudden regard archetypal East Asian characteristics - yellowish skin, small eyes, small frames etc. - as being more attractive and desirable than any other?
