To carry on this thread: I would still argue there is a peculiar double standard where Communism is not seen as bad in and of itself in the way that Nazism is - as if persecuting people because of their social origins is less reprehensible than persecuting people because of their ethnic origins. Also, in everyday language, calling somebody a Communist, Stalinist or Maoist doesn't carry the same stigma and "shock factor" that calling somebody a Nazi or Fascist does.

I think the distinction is made because of the origin of the revolution or voters that put these communists in power. Usually people who want communism believe that they will get some rights with it while people who want a Fascist regime usually have a hatred towards an ethnic or religious group gone from society. Think of the average far left voter, some homsexual who doesn't understand he's only stage one of the revolution and will be dealt with if Communism comes to pwoer while the average far right voter hates Pakis, Arabs, Jews etc.

Sometimes I wish every single Jew would disappear from the face of the planet for a year or two so WNs and the like would realise how utterly stupid they are, although I suspect the nature of their delusion and desire to anthropomorphise their concept of evil and the disappointment in their lives would mean they'd just promote a new scapegoat. I said I was reluctant to put Pinochet on this list, but given the dictatorship's exceptional record for torture I thought it deserved a mention. And Allende may have been Marxist but he was a peaceful democrat. His final speech to Chile while the Casa de la Moneda was being bombed by the Chilean military is incredibly moving:

Yes many countries practice torture, but the scale and methods found in Pinochet's Chile were unprecedented.

I wouldn't call it xenophobia. I can understand why Muslims coming into Western countries would like to change our ways, with the amount of degeneracy that is in them, I think that is common ground between us, not to mention that Islam is a very powerful religion that rejects all degeneracy...and Jews aren't a scapegoat for anything, it is clearly stated by THEM in the media that they are wanting to change Europe into non-European ways.

Western World ? That's neat, Brits invented the concentration (death) camps, 50.000 boers were basically genocided and that's not countingthe Irish Famine and all atrocities of colonialism. The USA until the 60's had a segregational regime where torture and hanging black people was acceptable and that's not counting the systematic policies of genocide towards native americans, you want me to continue with the list if western "civilizational" methods ?

All torture methods are rather barbaric, what we are discussing here is the scale, I seriously doubt that Pinochet regime tortured more people than Fidel's regime. And when we consider the legacy (saving the country from a communist tyrany and opening preparing the transition to democracy) there's absolutely no place for Pinochet among the list of the darkest dictators, on the contrary, he was a rather benevolent one. Too much lefist propaganda on this one, let's be objective instead.
