Nice, so killing opponents for ideology is worse than killing for no ideology?

    (1) In the grand scheme of things, Marcos unlike his neighbour Suharto was not that murderous. (2) What I meant was: to what extent did the dictatorship have a totalitarian and repressive ideology, which I don't think Marcos did especially.

Sorry, I'm trying to understand what evil means.

I don't know the exact the body counts. From what I understand, to you totalitarian ideology is worse/more evil than corruption of an otherwise "centre-right/insert abstract political word" government.

I don't know how an ideology can be considered repressive, how do you know that people can't find freedom under a tolitarian regime? What is freedom?

I don't know how an ideology can be considered repressive, freedom is a personal thing.
The Taliban are an especially prescient example of a totalitarian and repressive ideology - they seek to control practically every last aspect of people's lives, especially women of course.

And how do you know that those people feel repressed?

According to Hegel, self-consciousness can only be considered a unitary social phenomena. Othewirse, people fall under the master-slave dialectic.

Let's consider the totalitarian regime that seeks to awake the self-conciousness of the poeple so master-slave relationships cease to exist. This way, the totalitarian regime not only it is not repressive, but it is actually the only one that can provide true freedom.

    A utopia? yes.
    Are you politically polarized? yes

That sounds like Jean-Jacques Rousseau's bullshit theories to me.
