    Default Question to Spanish speakers

How much French, Italian, Portuguese and Romanian can you understand? Both written and spoken. Can you rank them from easiest to hardest to understand?

    Example text: Our Father

    Notre Père -FR
Notre Père, qui es aux cieux, que ton nom soit sanctifié, que ton règne vienne, que ta volonté soit faite sur la terre comme au ciel; donne-nous aujourd'hui notre pain essentiel; remets-nous nos dettes, comme nous aussi les remettons à nos débiteurs; et ne nous laisse pas entrer dans l'épreuve, mais délivre-nous du Malin.

    Padre Nostro -IT
Padre nostro che sei nei cieli, sia santificato il tuo Nome, venga il tuo Regno, sia fatta la tua Volontà come in cielo così in terra. Dacci oggi il nostro pane quotidiano, e rimetti a noi i nostri debiti come noi li rimettiamo ai nostri debitori, e non ci indurre in tentazione, ma liberaci dal Male.

    Pai nosso -PT
Pai nosso, que estás no céu, Santificado seja o Vosso nome. Venha a nós o Vosso reino.

    Bonus:
    Pater noster -Latin
Pater noster, qui es in caelis; sanctificetur nomen tuum; adveniat regnum tuum; fiat voluntas tua, sicut in caelo et in terra. Panem cotidianum da nobis hodie; et dimitte nobis debita nostra, sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris; et ne nos inducas in tentationem; sed libera nos a malo.

I don't know much about Romanian. All I know if that I once saw a text written in Romanian, and to me it looked somewhat similar to Italian (at least written, I mean).

I might be wrong, but French is so distinct from other Latin languages (including Romanian). And that's why I think is harder to understand for Spanish speakers, even compared to Romanian.

    Google translate...

    In French:

Habille la veste et le visage s'épanouit.
Les gens paient, et les cavaliers veulent ici.
Et si Arlecchin vous envoie Colombina,
rire, Pagliaccio, et tout le monde va applaudir!

In Romanian I could infer (without the need of using google translate) the Spanish translation of several words, but not the whole sense of the phrases.

But in French is even harder.

Even though Italian is a Western Romance language, it is the easternmost shifted of them and the closest (geographically and perhaps orthographically) to Romanian. French has significant Germanic and continental Celtic (Gaulish) influence on vocabulary and phonology.

French sounds different from all other Romance languages.

Indeed, its pronunciation is very different from the pronunciation of all other Latin languages.
