Well, I am aware that Trannys had existed LOOONG before the US ever came to existence. I was just saying that such a thing wouldn't have been accepted back then since the western world was very conservative and christian in contrast to today's west. I don't think that the French were trying to insult the Americans since they had supported the American revolutionary war against the British and all that.

I've seen articles in the past stating that the Statue of Liberty (the original version is in France) represents a female prostitute - although other people insist that the Statue of Liberty represents the end of black slavery. I don't know what the truth is about its representation though as there's several different theories about it.

I think the Statue of Liberty is supposed to represent the friendship between the US and France after loads of French troops helped the US to win their Revolutionary Wars. (The French also created the White House (which was later burned down by angry British and Canadian troops,) and the US Declaration of Independence was signed in Paris, France.) The national motto of France is 'Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité' which is French for "liberty, equality, fraternity.'')

The French gave the US a copy of the original Statue of Liberty in France.

One thing I know for sure is that the non politically-correct UK street artist Banksy created a mock 'Lady Justice' monument who was dressed as a prostitute and had mock money around her garter - and he left it in a public place in Central London, before the statue was quickly removed by the police and thrown into a dumpster. (He also left a briefcase full of fake UK banknotes with the late Princess Diana's head replacing the Queen's head on the notes. )
