I would like to know if you have some personal experiences with The Amish, if you have visited some Amish community, etc.
I know about them in films, etc and I'm curious.

I live around them and see them almost on a daily basis. They don't ever really cause trouble and tend to keep to themselves but sometimes they will wave at you if you cross them on the road.
A lot sell produce,baked goods on the side of the road and some people hire them to build shit. They're a lot wealthier than you think.
The downsides is that having to pass their horse drawn carriages or "buggies" as we call them when driving is quite annoying. Also their horses shit all over the roads and in parking lots. Additionally, inbreeding is quite a problem in their community. Most of the ones I've seen have the same hair and eye color, look all similar.
They really aren't that interesting to me or maybe I'm just used to it by now.

they have their own schools. they can marry outside their community but it's easier with someone who's already amish. if you marry an amish person,which i do not recommend, you will have to become one of them
