Greek loyality/unity

Greece is constantly under attack - whether it be easterners, westerners, bankers, media spamming greeks not good for Olympic games (but we won euro cup that year), media spamming greeks no good for western finance (but tesla is opening workshops in Greece not in the west). turks violating greek air, sea and earth - so unity comes with mostly external reasons and hence our forefathers differentiated between greeks + barbarians. anyway mainland greeks are largely village people at heart so the village values does shine strong through - such as being a positive member of the community, elders giving children endless love, youngsters taking care of their parents when older list goes on.

We accept atheist, roman Catholic, paganist and evangelical Greeks as equally Greek, let alone that at least paganists are the most patriotic

Way I see it is related to pride and connection to a massively rich past culture and history, the basics of civilization Europe lives on today is based on ancient greece sometimes gives you the feeling of being completely unchallanged and makes you view the neighboor countries as infants

Family ties. Family is above anything in Greece, and in extension, all Greeks are family to us.
Plus, if you are constantly under attack, you are getting a stronger defense mechanism.
