Most of them live in Poland now (and they are, according to 2012 estimate, about 15% of the country's total population, this includes also people with partial ancestry from those lands - 3/4, 1/2 or 1/4). But many of them, hundreds of thousands, are still there. Check for example my thread about Polish minority in Latvia:

Lithuania and Belarus still have very large Polish minorities, even though over 50% of Poles in those areas were deported after WW2.

In Ukraine there are not many Poles left according to official Ukrainian data, but unofficial Polish estimates claim that there are still many Poles there. Probably the truth is somewhere in-between. But there are no any regions in Ukraine where Poles are the majority of local population - on the other hand such regions still exist in Lithuania and Belarus.

They also obtained many lands from germans, who did settle there?

You can find four main groups there (but they are not evenly distributed, there are different percentages of each group depending on area) - 1. local autochthons who had German citizenship before 1939 and were given Polish citizenship after 1945 (mainly in Upper Silesia), 2. Eastern Poles deported there after WW2 from former Polish lands in the east, 3. Poles who came there from various regions (except former Eastern Poland), such as "Central Poland", 4. re-emigrants from Polish Diaspora (for example Poles who returned from France, Polish-Americans who returned after WW2, etc.).

And of course there are many people with mixed ancestry from more than one of those 4 groups.
