Sure, if not AncestryDNA would probably have pinpointed a specific region in Italy or Greece based on his (A-DNA) matches with a percentage like this. It's a component shared by most Mediterraneans so it seems.

I went through my gedmatch matches and they're all pretty much Samaritans. A couple of Lebanese Christians as well.
