The soap opera doesn't look very realistic after seeing the real-life pictures of the place where the soap is set. Can people there identify with and relate to the characters in the soap? Does it receive many viewers?

Globo could have choosen other state to have less confusion. Some years ago there was a novela with Grazi Massafera that had a lot of blondes and was set in Rio Grande do Norte. Nobody gots angry because it was RN.

E quem faz novelas sobre a classe alta é o Manoel Carlos. Ele insiste em suas novelas que não fazem mais sucesso, são todas baseadas no Leblon. Povo não gosta disso, Av Brasil foi um sucesso e adivinha? Foi focada na vida suburbana do Rio de janeiro, por isso o Brasil inteiro se sentiu conectado com a pobreza nacional.
