So growing up without a family is worse than growing up without a loving family, but better than growing up without a controlling family.

Stupid is your idea only women are responsible. For every woman that is condemned should be a man who didnt use a condom that should do same prison time as her. This is not a womans thing only, babies are created by 2.

The woman should be imprisoned, and the man (if he was complicit in the abortion, sometimes females abort babies against their husband's will) should be castrated.
